Nelle Harper Lee (born April 28, 1926 - died on February 19, 2016) was the writer of the popular novel, To Kill a Mockingbird. She was born in Monroeville, Alabama, on April 28, 1926. She was the youngest of four children, and her parents names’ were Amasa Coleman Lee, and Frances Cunningham. There is also a family named Cunningham in To Kill a Mockingbird, implying that she had some sort of connection from her family name to the book.
