Jean "Scout" Louise Finch is the main character of the book To Kill a Mockingbird; the story is told through her point of view. She is the younger sister of Jem Finch. And the daughter of Atticus Finch. Her mother died when she was two years old.
Scout is 6 the start, and at the end of the book she is around 9, the story is told through these years.

The youngest of her family and lives in the town of Maycomb in Alabama. Scout had grown up with a bad habit of getting into fights and losing her temper. When she started 1st grade, her Father Atticus had her promise not to fight. She is a bit of a tomboy, and doesn’t like being called a “girl” by her brother and friend/fiancé Dill.
